Rami Malek took home an Emmy for best lead actor in a drama series for his role as super-hacker Elliot in Mr. Robot.
Sam Esmail's techno-thriller follows Elliot, an emotionally and psychologically troubled cybersecurity expert, after the head of a secret society — Christian Slater's enigmatic Mr. Robot — approaches him for help in bringing down a massive company.
It received six Emmy nods this year. Malek was nominated last year as well, but lost to frontrunner Jon Hamm, who took home his first Emmy for his role as the infamous Don Draper on Mad Men. Read more...
